Bidwriting.com at this year’s Goodwood Revival
The team at Bidwriting.com headed down to Chichester for
what was to be a very wet and windy day at the Goodwood Race Circuit, but the
weather certainly didn’t damper the fun that was to be had, on what is one of
our favourite days in the Goodwood racing calendar.
Upon arriving on site around 9am, after a 3+ hour journey
from Bedfordshire, the team headed straight to the March Enclosure for a warm
and welcoming full English breakfast.
The girls in the office decided that it was too much for a
dress and heels for a 3rd year running and decided for much comfier
attire of Dungarees and Boots, a look made famous by the Land Girls of the 1st and 2nd World War.
After this we decided to brave the elements and head out to
have a look around all of the fantastic areas on offer including the paddocks,
that were home to some beautiful and very expensive classic cars…..!
1964 Ferrari 205 GTO/64 £45 million to spare??
Is there a better selection of
Classic Ferrari’s in the world!
With our brollies in one hand and our anoraks firmly on our
shoulders, we headed off to watch some of the days racing, that was purely for
practice, as the main weekends races take place on the saturday and sunday.
Champagne
anyone? Hangover Hospital….
With the need to seek a little more shelter than of previous
years, except if you include sheltering from the sun, we headed inside the GRRC
Members Club for a very British lunch of Pie and Mash.
A beautiful selection of Classic
Fiat 500 and 600’s all originating from the 1960’s with many driven over from
Italy for this event.
All in all, we had another fantastic day at the Goodwood Revival
and come rain or shine, we will definitely be there in 2018!
